The lingonberry is the edible berry of the species Vaccinium vitis-idaea L., an evergreen northern plant native to the boreal forests and Arctic tundra of the Northern Hemisphere, and a cousin of the bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) and the cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon).
The lingonberry, from which the active compound proanthocyanidins (PACs) is extracted, supports healthy urinary tract function.
D-mannose, which is naturally produced in small quantities by the body, is derived from corn.
